Tarkwa, Ghana - Engineers & Planners Co. Ltd (E&P) has unveiled plans to invest approximately $1.2 billion into its mining operations at Tarkwa Mine and Damang Mine, in a move aimed at expanding capacity and strengthening production efficiency.
As part of the investment drive, the indigenous mining firm has dispatched thirty semi-knockdown Caterpillar 785D Dump Truck units to its operational base in Tarkwa.
The addition of the heavy-duty equipment is expected to boost haulage capacity and improve operational performance across the company’s mining sites.

E&P’s commitment to investing in large-scale mining equipment dates back more than two decades.
In 2018, the company injected an estimated $650 million into its operations at Tarkwa and Damang, underscoring its long-term strategy to scale up production and enhance efficiency.

The latest $1.2 billion investment plan signals a renewed push by Engineers & Planners to consolidate its position as a leading indigenous mining firm in Ghana, while contributing to increased output and job creation within the country’s mining sector.
