President John Dramani Mahama has emphasised his administration’s commitment to strengthening democratic governance and deepening constitutional reforms during a Presidential Dialogue with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) held at the Jubilee House.

President Mahama said the engagement was central to promoting inclusive, participatory, and accountable governance in Ghana, noting that CSOs play a critical role in democratic development through advocacy, research, and community outreach.

He highlighted that government cannot deliver national transformation alone, saying collective action with civil society, citizen groups, and other stakeholders is necessary to address the country’s complex governance challenges.

“We need to bring everyone on board, government, civil society, and the broader public, to ensure our democratic institutions remain strong and responsive,” President Mahama told the gathering.

The President said his government is examining recommendations from the Constitutional Review Committee (CRC), which submitted its final report after almost a year of nationwide public consultations, and will soon announce the formation of a Constitutional Review Implementation Committee (CRIC) to steer the next phase of the reform process.
